About Mamavela
Why Mamavela
In pregnancy and the first years, the questions often come at night, on your phone, and the answers you find disagree. Mamavela wants to be the calm place where you get the answer first, the sources next, and the moment to call a professional. The name brings together "mama", which reads the same in every language, and "vela", a sail and a vigil.
How we write
- The answer first: every page opens with an "In short" box that answers the question.
- Nothing without a source: every figure comes from a named source, first of all the health authorities (WHO, ACOG, NHS, CDC, AAP, NICE) and published studies whose reference (DOI or PubMed) is checked. Every page shows when its sources were last checked.
- No medical advice: we explain, we do not diagnose and we never give medicine doses. Every health page tells you when to call and which number to dial.
- No judgement: breastfeeding or formula, epidural or not, cesarean or vaginal birth, back to work or not: every choice is respected.
- Kept up to date: when guidance changes, the page changes, and so does its date.
Who is behind it
Mamavela is published by Clem corp (Clément Lacaille, sole trader, Tech-Bharat brand) and its ebooks and products are sold by LACANGEL GROUP, a French company. Full details are in the legal notice.
What we sell, and what we never will
We sell PDF ebooks that bring together, organise and explain official guidance, with checklists and pages to fill in, and a few useful objects chosen for how they are used (pillows, bedding, storage). We never sell supplements, medicines or medical devices, never publish reviews we cannot verify, and carry no sponsored content and no affiliate links.
