Seller

These terms apply to purchases made on mamavela.com between the seller and a consumer. French law applies, without depriving consumers of the mandatory protections of the country where they live.

What we sell

  • Ebooks: digital content supplied as PDF files, described on each ebook's page (contents, number of pages, preview). The ebooks explain official guidance; they are not medical advice or a diagnosis.
  • Ebook bundles (packs and the Library), with their contents listed on their page.
  • Physical products (shop), described on their product page and shipped by a logistics provider; and starter packs that combine physical products and, where stated, included ebooks.

Prices and payment

Ebook prices are shown in US dollars on the English pages and in euros on the other languages, including VAT. The price that applies is the one shown when you order; for physical products, shipping costs are shown in the cart before payment. Payment is made once, by card, on Stripe's secure page; there is no subscription. Your order is binding once payment is confirmed.

<span id="one-click"></span>1-click purchase. After a first ebook purchase, the card you used is kept by Stripe (not by the seller), as stated on the payment page, so that later purchases on mamavela.com can be made in one click. On an ebook page, the "Buy in 1 click" button shows the price and the card used (brand and last 4 digits); clicking it places an order with an obligation to pay and charges that card immediately, on the same terms as the usual checkout. You can ask for the saved card to be deleted at any time at administration@lacangel.fr.

Gifts. The ebook payment page offers an optional field for the first name of the person you are giving the ebook to; that name is printed on the cover, together with the buyer's email address.

Payments are processed by Stripe. On your bank statement the payment appears as OG* MAMAVELA; the Stripe page and receipt may show the account name baleines-invisibles.fr.

Delivery

  • Ebooks: as soon as payment is confirmed, the confirmation page shows a download button for each PDF, and the same links are emailed to the address used to pay. The links stay valid. Lost a link? Find your order.
  • Physical products: delivered to the address entered on the payment page, in the countries offered there; the estimated delivery time is shown on the product page and in the cart, and the tracking number is emailed when the parcel ships.

Cancellation

<span id="cancellation"></span>Ebooks. Digital content is delivered immediately. By paying, you ask for immediate access and acknowledge that, as a consumer in the EU or the UK, you lose your right to cancel once the download starts (Directive 2011/83/EU, art. 16(m); UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, reg. 37). This is stated under each purchase button and on the payment page. Problem with your file? Email us at administration@lacangel.fr and we fix it.

Physical products. If you live in the EU or the UK, you may cancel within 14 days of receiving your parcel without giving a reason. Send a clear statement (for example "I cancel order no. … received on …") to administration@lacangel.fr; we reply with the return address. Return the product within 14 days of your statement, complete and in its original condition; return costs are paid by you. We refund the price and the standard delivery cost within 14 days of your statement, and may wait until we receive the product or proof that you sent it.

Ebooks and physical products benefit from the legal guarantee of conformity that applies where you live (in the EU, two years from delivery for physical goods). If something is wrong, write to administration@lacangel.fr.

Use of the ebooks

For the personal use of the buyer and their family (the buyer's email address is printed on the cover). Reselling, public sharing or uploading is not allowed.
