Bamboo muslin is fine, light and lets air through; at 120 × 120 cm it is large enough to swaddle a newborn properly, and later to lie on the floor for tummy time or to cover your shoulder during a feed.
Swaddling safely: always on the back, firm around the arms but loose around the hips so the legs can bend up and out, never over the face or too warm. Stop swaddling as soon as your baby shows signs of trying to roll. A swaddle is not a cot blanket, and never drape muslin over a pram or car seat.

Until when can I swaddle?
Only until your baby starts trying to roll over, often around 2 to 4 months; after that, move to a sleep sack with free arms.
