The waistband sits well above the usual scar line, which is why many mothers choose high-waisted briefs then. Ask your midwife or doctor if you have any doubt about your wound.
Why does the size chart look small?
The chart is based on waist measurement: most women after birth are in XL to 4XL. Measure yourself rather than relying on your usual size.
